I hope to share my vision and love for vintage antiques, in hopes that there’s an appreciation for keeping the history of one’s past and taking it into future for all ages.
I feel that the term “Somewhere in Time” represents our past. And yet time touches and effects all our lives in the now. In our life we find love and lose love for one another. And yet “love” is a strong feeling that entwines the soul for another.

In 1982 the movie "Somewhere in Time" was released. The movie is a love story that reflects the past of two people who met and fell in love.
My journey began in 1985 in a small town in California, while looking in an antique store I came across a small cobalt blue plate. The plate I was told is from the 1900's around 1902. It was my first purchase of an antique, in which I still have. The movie had been filmed in Mackinac Island, MI. I was thrilled that I had found such an item that had come from a place I would like to visit some day, and feeling as though that I was to return this plate back to the island.
In 2022, my husband gave me a trip to Mackinac Island in the Fall. And I was so thrilled to know that my life was taking me there. I had found out that in the past 20 years that the movie "Somewhere in Time" had an actual fan
based following that every year people traveled to the island for one weekend where the Grand Hotel held a special weekend for people to come and dress in 1910 period clothing, with a gala of an afternoon tea, dress for dinner, and meet
others and hear how the movie affected their lives, and in doing so it keeps the movie alive.
For this event in 2022 Jane Seymore announced that she would be attending the "Somewhere in Time" event. I of course brought with me the plate I had found, excited to think finally I was able to return it to where it came from. After a presentation that she shared about the making of the movie with Christopher Reeves, she announced that she would be signing autographs. We were fortunately invited to go in. I was able to share my story with her about my journey and show her my plate. She listened intently and asked me if she could sign the back of the plate. I was thrilled that she took interest in the story of my journey. And so my plate
returned back to me. This plate is now to be displayed in my new shop.
